The Erotic Tattoos

Erotic tattoos have become a controversial issue in today’s society, where most people fall into the categories of either loving them or outright hating them. The invention of the tattoo machine in 1891 made tattoos much easier and less painful to receive. However, back then, body tattoos, let alone erotic tattoos, were still not widely accepted. Before too long, tattoos became at least tolerated by most beginning in the 1970’s. The arm, back, and ankle were some of the most popular locations to get a tattoo. This is around the time where erotic tattoos began their major public entrance into society.

The importance behind erotic tattoos has to do with the ownership of our bodies. It is an amazing thing to know that we have the power to do what we wish with our bodies, as they are our own and no one else’s. We can use it for pleasure, needs, wishes, and body art. We can decorate our bodies however we wish, including the ornamentation of our private areas with erotic tattoos. Erotic tattoos have a certain mystery about them, as very few people are able to actually see them. There are certainly people out there that you would least expect to have erotic tattoos, such as the businessmen and lawyers who just happen to also be tattoo enthusiasts. They can’t get typical body tattoos, as they would lose their professionalism. Therefore, many opt to get erotic tattoos so that they can be hidden during business hours.

Then, of course, there are the tattoo enthusiasts who get these erotic tattoos with the hope of showing them off to as many people as possible. Sometimes this is done by covering the breasts and chest area with tattoos and wearing skimpy clothing, in order to show off the body art. Other times it is achieved by visiting nude beaches or by expressing their promiscuity. However executed, erotic tattoos are bold expressions of ourselves, allowing us to use our bodies and genital areas as a canvas to fill with our own ideas and artwork.

Rosary Tattoo and Beyond

I have a few tattoos already and in my search to acquire a design for another one, I started my search looking for rosary tattoos. I have two tribal tatts and I love them (or they wouldn’t be tattooed on my body!), but I think I’m in the mood for something new. I know rosary tattoos aren’t for everyone; tattoos aren’t even for everyone. But having said that, I think they are great and if you do too, then start looking at designs because your choices are near countless.

I found rosary tattoos in the database of designs I use. There were a few that were stunning and some that seemed to reproduce the same feel with a slight twist. Color is always the determining and sticky factor for me, and rosary tattoos are no exception. I’ve seen a few black ones and few others that were intertwined with beads of color; they were all great. I’m still looking and I look everyday. Sooner or later I know I’ll see the design that’s perfect for me and, until then, I’ll keep looking because, when it comes to inking your body, you can never take too much time (the database of designs I access is that of Chopper-Tattoos).

The Rosary Tattoos

Rosary tattoos are usually seen on people who are Roman Catholic, and who want to show off their faith or Christian values. While some religions, specifically Judaism and Islam, denounce tattoos and do not allow their followers to get inked, not all religions have specific rules about tattoos. There are often different sentiments expressed by Catholics and Protestants about the allowance of tattoos in their churches.

Biblical Tattoos

Both Christians and Jews abide by the Bible, and feel that there is a passage in the Old Testament that specifically prohibits tattoos: "Do not cut your bodies for the dead or put tattoo marks on yourselves. I am the Lord." - Leviticus 19:28 Depending on how strictly you interpret the Bible, this can be seen as a full-on denouncing of tattoos, or just a warning against specific marks from Biblical times. Jews proclaim that this statement means any tattoos on human skin are forbidden, while some Christians do not take the quote as literally.

Today, some churchgoers feel ink, such as Rosary tattoos, are not attractive, but others see getting tattoos such as those of the Rosary and crosses to be a welcome sign of faith.
